Meet in front of the main building, just to the left. There's a sidewalk that leads between the two buildings that sometimes has outdoor art exhibits on it, in addition to benches and beautiful flowers. While we wait for each other, the kids can run up and down that area.
If you're interested, the libraries have a program with free museum passes... one of which is the Arboretum. It is worth stopping at a library near you to see if there are any available. No swimming there this week, but don't forget your sunscreen and lunches and a stroller if you have little ones.
