Hot Weather= SWIMMING August 5th

Hey Nature Kids! For Thursday, August 5th we are going to head straight to the beach!

We've received a lot of recommendations for Shady Oak Beach in Minnetonka, or is it Hopkins... so many that we have decided that the focus is actually going to be SWIMMING, and not a hike. Can you dig it?

Admission to the beach is $5.00 per person (though babies are probably free) and the beach is a beauty. There is a concession stand that sells kid-friendly things like icees, so you don't have to plan on a DQ stop on the way home. In addition to the beach, there are also squirty water features that are great for the little ones. Check out the pics here.

Meet at 10:00ish with your swim gear and a bag lunch. I'll bring the secret craft project for the kids that they can work on before they get in the water or maybe after lunch.

Directions: Take Highway 62 West. Exit on Shady Oak. Go North. There isn't a good sign for the beach, but if you get to K-Tel Street/Blvd, then you've gone too far. The address is 5200 Shady Oak Road.

As usual, please let Korie or Jenn know if you are planning on joining us. We'd love to see you!
